In the unlikely chance I ever win an award, I write this acceptance speech.
Thank you everyone. Thank you.
I didn’t think this would be so heavy!
This wonderful award is my new idol — my faith — making a mockery of, what I now see, are the false gods of my past.
This new gift… this new light for me…
The glowing eyes of a living human child.
The infinite fire of the sun, 93 million miles away, only 8.31 minutes at light speed, kissing my cheek each dawn.
The crisp, clean, minty taste of an ultra whitening dental paste.
A hot cup of coffee.
I am alive again, bathed in the brilliant afterglow of your collective votes.
And when I am at my life’s end — on April 23rd, 2014 at 12:34:04 pm PST -08 GMT — this award will usher me into the Rapture.
And I will run, screaming into it’s light, where this award — and I — will violently merge together, into the glorious quantum singularity of eternity.
So, thanks for that.
