- Hired on take the existing tool built in Korn Shell and update it. He wrote a single code base in Perl to sync out a perforce, loop through project/make files,, build components, and copy to central server so that it could be tested by QA teams.
- He architected, created and maintained a cross-platform, data driven, scalable release engineering tool called Overmind. Used by the Core Technology group and later adopted by Core Services.
- After the project hit maturity, it was integrated into an existing in-house networked task management application that he took over and extended. He added the following features: XML configuration, object oriented design in Python, Cross platform (Mac, Windows, Linux, HPUX, AIX, and Solaris), Networked (server/worker model), Scalable (new products/hardware still being added), Perforce driven (triggered by relevant code submissions), Web interface (start build, stop build, tracking, results, logs, etc), PostgreSQL backend.

- Worked on the MrSID product – an image formatting software used in the Medical/GIS industries
- Hired as the third employee and watched the company grow to eighty people. As the company grew he wore many hats: Programmer, Development, Tech Support, Customer Service, Project Manager, Web Designer, and Systems Administrator.
- Managed release cycle to automate building on Linux, HPUX, AIX, and Solaris Platforms.
- Wrote LizardTech website in Perl Scripts. He wrote the web site in Perl with a PostgreSQL backend and an admin interface that gave the marketing team the ability to modify basic content on their own.
- Wired the entire office. Built central storage server, web server, and email sever.
- Built one terabyte image machine. Allowed it to provide internal VNC Access eventually provided secure remote access through SSH tunnels.
